For the last couple of weeks I’ve been working on Sonnie Trotter’s new website, sonnietrotter.com. I just released it tonight! I’m happy with how it turned out. It sounds like Sonnie is stoked too. This work has rekindled the web developer in me. I’m now inspired to improve my site some more so check back for site upgrades in the near future.

Friends of mine, Mike and April, got engaged last weekend! These two people are great. They run the climbing gym, Beyond the Crux in Kelowna. It makes perfect sense that they’ll be getting married.

It sounds like Mike proposed while they were out Cat Skiing. April was quite suprised, but definitely had no intentions of saying No. They celebrated with champagne in front of some big ass tree in the woods and now it’s called the ‘Engagement Tree.’

Anyways, I just wanted to say Congratulations!

I went and checked out that movie The Departed last night. What a great freaking movie. The cast was huge. Alec Baldwin and Mark Wahlberg are hilarious. Jack Nicholson fits his part well, especially when he does his impression of a rat. Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio compliment each other perfectly – two adversaries playing the same role but on opposite sides.

I had no idea what the movie was about other than it received great reviews. Sarah and I got our tickets to the 10:30 show and when we got to the theatre there were probably 200 people already lined up. We luckily scored okay seats, but people had to sit in the front section of rows. The show must have sold out.

I still haven’t finished packing and I need to be at the airport in about 3 hours. I leave tonight at 11:45pm. I don’t feel as excited as I should be. There are a lot of reasons why I’d like to stay home, but I’m sure that will all change as soon as I land in a different country.
